2015 - San Francisco Webfest: Best Cinematography Nomination

Chad Young is a New York based cinematographer raised and educated in the Pacific Northwest.  His enthusiasm for the arts started at a young age and spanned a variety of art forms including drawing, music performance, composing, cooking, and writing.  In 2007 he moved to New York City to pursue a career in film where he could combine all of those artistic endeavors. 

Chad was the cinematographer for the web-series, Bettina & Elaine, starring Kristina Mueller and Calaine Schafer which was nominated for best cinematography, best series, and won the audience choice award at San Francisco Web Fest.  He is a freelance director of photography and technical director with multiple media companies which has allowed him to work with President Barack Obama, gold medalist Gabby Douglas,  Emmy nominated actress Lucy Liu and many more.  Chad has also worked on a wide variety of projects including the award winning feature film Advantageous, 2011 Academy Award winning short film God of Love, in addition to several TV pilots, feature films, music videos, and commercials. 

 

Chad is attached to several projects in different stages of production including a web series in pre-production, a feature shooting this fall, a short film in post production, and is in development on a television series.
